Employment Law

Introduction

Employment law is a minefield incorporating UK and EC law and employers need to be aware of this dynamic and rapidly changing area of law so as to comply with their duties and responsibilities. Driven by both UK legislation and EC directives the complexity of employment have made it many businesses vulnerable to all sorts of claims. The current litigious environment has made it crucial for all businesses whether large or small to ensure compliance with all employment rights and discrimination laws.
We advice employers and review and draft all types of employment documentation including contracts, policies, disciplinary and grievance procedures as well as compromise agreements.

We also specialise in claims arising from termination of employment and represent both employers and employees in unfair dismissal, race and sex discrimination and victimisation cases. We provide advice and support to litigants acting in person and also conduct cases from the initial claim through the entire litigation process including representation at the hearing. By representing both employers and employees in the Employment Tribunal this enables us to see the issues from both sides thus giving us the ability to offer a practical, sensible and cost effective solutions.
