How much will it Cost?

Charges are usually per hour as with solicitors. However, there is not standard fee – each mediator will have their own charging rates. 

Public funding called Community Legal Service and previously called legal aid may be available if you are on low income. Details can be obtained from the Mediator.  

In addition you may be required to use mediation before you apply for legal aid to go to court as the rules for legal aid may require parties to attempt mediation first if their case may be suitable.
