Contentious Matters

Contentious matters are always charged according to time spent.

For lengthy ongoing matters like disputes and litigation ie court proceeding it is not possible to provide a quotation due to the fact that it is not possible to know in advance the amount of time likely to be spent on a case from the outset. In these situations the best we can do is provide you with a estimate of the likely overall solicitor's costs and disbursements. This estimate will be provided in to you in writing.

Sometimes half way through a matter it may become clear from interim bills/costs incurred to that date that our costs may have been over or under-estimated. In that event we shall advise you in writing.

In these type of cases all charges are based upon time spent according to the hourly rate applicable to your matter which will be advised to you. Our hourly rates will range from £125 to £175 per hour.
